What does it take to be a solid illusion assistant? How can magicians still use a female assistant and not come across as sexist or just plain gross? What should we look for when hiring someone to go in the boxes?
After dancing practically all her life in Kansas City, Marissa moved to Los Angeles to train in the EDGE Performing Arts Center scholarship program. She has continued to dance professionally in Los Angeles for the last several years, including performing live with artists and working on projects for Hulu and Netflix. Just two years ago, she started training in the aerial arts and can currently be seen on tour as the aerialist and magician’s assistant in Champions of Magic.
